Columbus State Manufacturing Night

Are you interested in a career in Engineering Technology? Columbus State offers an Engineering Technology work study program.  Attend their Manufacturing Night on February 12 to learn more.  Click here for more information.

Laurel Oaks

Applications to attend Laurel Oaks for the 2019-20 school year are now being accepted.  Applications are to be completed online at application.greatoaks.com. Priority deadline is February 4, 2019. Mr. Davis, the career specialist from Laurel Oaks met with all sophomore students on November 27 to discuss the opportunities available.  Students will have the opportunity to visit Laurel Oaks on January 18, 2019.  Students will need to stop by the Counselor's office to sign up and must return a completed permission slip to attend.

College Credit Plus (CCP)

If you did not attend he annual College Credit Plus (CCP) meeting on November 15 and would like to participate in the program for the 2019-20 school year, you will need to contact your school counselor.  Students that have never participated in the program and would like to enroll in the program for the 2019-20 school year are required to attend an informational meeting.  Students that are currently participating in the program and would like to continue will need to complete an intent to participate letter.  These forms can be obtained in the high school counselor's office.

Financial Aid Night

Thank you to Danny Harp and Adam Lohrey from Wilmington College for the informative presentation on financial Aid! Click here for a powerpoint of Thursday's presentation.  Washington High School will be hosting a financial aid night for Seniors planning to attend college in the 2019-20 school year.  Representatives from Wilmington College will be here to provide students and parents with helpful information on completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Join us on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 6:00 p.m. in Liberty Hall for this informational meeting.
