We’d like to congratulate and welcome Mr. Joe Kimling, who will be assuming the role of WCHCS Athletic Director in the 2024-2025 school year!

Mr. Kimling will succeed Mr. Greg Phipps, who is set to retire at the end of the school year.

Mr. Kimling has served as the Athletic Director of Madeira High School and Middle School since 2002. In addition to his role as AD, he currently serves as the MHS Assistant Principal and Dean of Students as well. Prior to his 22-year tenure at Madeira, Mr. Kimling laid the foundation for his career in education as a teacher and coach across multiple sports.

With a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, he holds a grades 5-12 principal license and is certified as a Master Athletic Administrator.

Not only has Mr. Kimling represented the Mustangs and Amazons in the competitive Cincinnati Hills League for over two decades, but he also represents athletic directors across the state, serving as the President of the Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. In his role as OIAAA President, he has cultivated a long and successful relationship working directly with the Ohio High School Athletic Association on behalf of all students, coaches, and administrators.

Bringing a wealth of practical knowledge and experience to Blue Lion Athletics, we are thrilled to welcome Mr. Kimling to the Blue Lion Family!
