Rebecca Pope is my name and Art is my game! I am thrilled to be teaching our little guys and girls (K-2) Art at Cherry Hill Primary! I have a bachelor's Degree in Art Education from Ohio University and a Masters Degree from The Ohio State University focusing in Art Education. Thus, I am licensed by the State of Ohio to teach Art, K-12. I live in the Huntington Hills of Ross County with my husband, Stoss and our youngest son, Chauncy; my commute is about an hour both ways. Our oldest son Chamual, lives in the Dayton area with his lovely wife Kathy and our two granddaughters, Celinda and Emrie. Prior to working at Cherry Hill I taught Art at Washington High and I have proudly been a teacher for Washington Court House City Schools since 2001.
I want to inspire all my students to explore, experiment, and create art with a variety of materials and using a variety of techniques. Each lesson is based on Ohio State Art Standards, National Art Standards, or Cherry Hill Primary/district goals. Most importantly, I want each student to feel like a creative, accomplished, and successful artist! I so enjoy taking this art journey with all my students every day!
