Denise Johnson

Welcome

Hello! My name is Denise Johnson. I am originally from Lafayette, Indiana. I went to Purdue University, receiving my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Elementary Education.

My 15 years of teaching experience include second, third, and fourth grades in Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. I have been a third grade Language Arts teacher at Belle Aire for the last 7 years. I LOVE third graders! They are making the exciting transition from primary to intermediate students. It is a joy to expand their reading comprehension and introduce them to a variety of chapter books.

When I am not teaching, I stay busy with my seventeen year old triplets. Erin, Ethan, and Evan will be graduating from Miami Trace High School this year and heading off to college next year. I also enjoy flower and vegetable gardening and cooking.
