Google calendar appointments for Mar. 25th parent conferences
Hello I'm Joe Dresbach, and I've been a teacher for about 8 years- this is my 3rd year of teaching science at Washington High. I’m an alum of Wilmington College, where I got an Agronomy Degree and minor in Biology. However, after buying a farm and running it for 15 years, I decided to pursue a teaching degree from Rio Grande University. I still live on my farm and enjoy living life with my wife, 3 daughters, and foster blessings.
You're probably visiting this site for information about your 2020-21 science class. I'm working hard to get ready for this unusual school year and will send home a syllabus with lots of information on the first day of class. In the meantime, get supplies ready so you can be prepared for August 24. Just a reminder, due to new standards, we will not be able to share supplies this year!
1. Get supplies (you'll need a few more things this year since we can't share supplies)
3-ring binder with side pockets (1" or 1 1/2", or if you use one large binder for multiple classes, reserve 1" of space in it for science)
Pencil(s) with eraser (pen works fine for some things but we do a lot of sketching/labeling, so the ability to erase is handy)
Colored pencils (and a way to keep these organized--rubber band, box, or pouch)
Markers, scissors, clear tape or glue (these will be used very rarely & I will alert you several days ahead when they are needed)
Also make sure your chromebook is working properly and fully charged
If you have any information or concerns you'd like to share with me before the school year kicks off, please email [email protected] Thank you.
