Hello! My name is Shaleigh Adams and I am originally from Wilmington, Ohio. I went to Transylvania University, where I majored in Spanish and double minored in Vocal Music and Anthropology. While at Transylvania, I was involved in many activities, such as the Varsity cheerleading team, the Student Activities Board, Spanish Club, Sigma Delta Pi (ΣΔΠ), and more.
I am now starting my thirteenth year of teaching--tenth year living and teaching in Washington Court House--and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I teach Spanish 1, 2, and 3. The best part of being a world language teacher is seeing students open up to the world around them as they learn about cultures other than their own and to watch them progress in their abilities to communicate in another language.
I have a wonderful family that I'm sure you'll hear all about! My husband is Samuel Adams and we have three beautiful children. Our oldest is Gavin, our five year old who is attending the Young Fives Kindergarten this year! We also have two year old twins, Avalee and Grayson. They are wild and fun, so we stay pretty busy! I also volunteer as a group leader for Kamp Dovetail, a summer camp for kids with special needs and disabilities. See me if you're interested in volunteering this summer! When I have free time, I enjoy reading, exploring, shopping local, going for walks, camping, traveling, and watching sports with my husband such as Kentucky basketball, Ohio State football, and any Washington High School team!
If you ever have an issue that needs brought to my attention, feel free to email me at [email protected] or call (740)-636-4211 x411. Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to working with all of my wonderful students and their parents this year.
