Hi! My name is Amy Nestor. I was born and raised right here in Fayette County. I grew up on a farm and graduated from Miami Trace. I went to Wilmington College, receiving my bachelor's degree in grades 1-8.
I am now starting my 33rd year of teaching. I'm in my 16th year of teaching in Washington Court House schools. This is my sixth year teaching second grade at Cherry Hill having previously taught second and fifth at East Clinton(New Vienna) and Miami Trace (Jeffersonville). I taught fourth grade at Eastside and fourth grade math/science at Belle Aire for several years. I have also done some substitute teaching.
I am married to John. I have two daughters, Sarah and Anna. Sarah is married and living in Washington State with her husband, Clayton, and dog, Pippin. She is also a second grade teacher in Tacoma Public Schools. Anna graduated from Ohio University majoring in Psychology. She is entering grad school this fall to become a clinical mental health counselor.
I enjoy being with family, playing games, and going to movies. I like watching Ohio State football. I love animals! I have a cat named Cloe and bunches of guppies. I also love the color purple!
