Hello! My name is Dawn Anderson. I am originally from Brownsburg, Indiana, but I have lived in Washington Court House for the past 23 years. I went to Cedarville University, receiving my bachelor's degree in Education. I then moved onto Marygrove College and received my master's degree in education. Five years ago, I received my National Board Certificate.
I am now in my 16th year of teaching, living in Washington Court House, and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I teach 5th grade reading and social studies. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my students on a personal basis and it is exciting to see them learn and grow as readers, thinkers, and responsible 5th grade citizens. .
I am married to Ray Anderson, who is also a 3rd grade teacher at Belle Aire Intermediate. We have two daughters, Alexa and Emma, who have both gone through the Washington Court House school district. Alexa is a cosmetologist here in Washington Court House and Emma is attending Samford University in Alabama, majoring in marine biology. Ray and I are enjoying being "empty nesters" this year as we watch our girls pursue their dreams!
