The Blue Lions are excited to welcome our alumni back once again to celebrate the White and Blue at the annual Homecoming football game! For information regarding alumni band, cheerleading, dance team, and football, please read below:
BAND & DANCE TEAM
Dear Blue Lion Alumni:
It’s that time of the year again! Time for the 33rd annual Alumni Band to take the field. This year’s Homecoming game is Friday, September 15th, against Monroe.
All of the Alumni Band information will be posted on our district web site. Event information, dates and times, personal information sheet, and music will be available for downloading. I feel that this will be the easiest way for you to get everything you will need for Homecoming. I will accept e-mails or you may mail your information form back to me by Wednesday, September 13th
As in the past you will be performing with the Blue Lion Marching Band at half-time. This year we will be performing tunes from Bon Jovi "Living on a Prayer and from Pot Liquor's "Cheer" (Yes, We Will Be Doing The Dance!) We are also going to continue our tradition of the script Lions however will be marching the formation to our “Drive-On” cadences instead of the Washington Fight Song.
We will be holding a rehearsal at Gardner Park from 4:30-5:30pm on the 15th to rehearse and put everything together. I realize that some of you will be unable to be there at that time so plan to arrive as soon as you can.
Due to the large number of students in the band most of our school instruments are being used. Please attempt to find your own instrument if possible. If you cannot find an instrument contact me.

CHEERLEADING:
Dust off your old pom poms and start stretching, because the Blue Lions are welcoming back their alumni once again for another exciting Homecoming at Gardner Park!
Alumni cheerleaders are invited to celebrate being a Blue Lion by joining the current team on the sidelines during the first half of the game, the pregame tunnel, or showing support in the stands!
REGISTER:
Alumni cheer shirts are $17 and the deadline to order is Saturday, September 17th. Please send your name and size to Coach Tara Bivens at
[email protected] or by calling 740-335-0291 during regular school hours.
PRACTICE:
Coach Bivens will send a link to practice material via YouTube to registered alumni at a later date. There will also be a practice on the field before the game at 5:30 PM for those who can make it.
FOOTBALL:
All Blue Lion Football alumni are invited to form the tunnel to cheer the Blue Lions onto the field for pregame once again! Alumni football players are asked to begin forming two lines on the outside of the playing field fence at 6:40 PM, high fiving and loudly cheering for the Blue Lions as they walk through the tunnel and prepare to run onto the field!
